What a pleasure of a job. The brief from Andrew Ashton was simply 'Tree People.' Nothing more, nothing less. Best brief so far.

Off to the Royal Botanic Gardens Melbourne to shoot canopies, ground cover and anything living. Found textures, roped in friends as models, photographed them as portraits and characters, printed them on the studio printer and then photocopied them on the worst black and white machine in Prahran — Australia Post, Chapel Street. Probably the most used photocopier in the southern hemisphere at that point. Perfect copy? Hell no. Dirty, textural, imperfect. Perfect.
