Tracing family ties back to Newcastle upon Tyne — my Gran grew up there, and, as it turned out, just 150 metres from the gallery. I met Danny from Unit 44 at a show in Perth organised by Stormie Mills. We clicked, and the moment I mentioned my Grandma's Newcastle roots, he said "you'll have to have a show with us." So we did. A dedicated installation of paintings exploring connection, personality and travel, set against the traditional old-world sandstone of the gallery.
